The Coöperatie Hoogstraten (hereinafter referred to as the “organising company”), with its registered office at Loenhoutseweg 59, 2320 Hoogstraten (VAT: BE 0403 863 755) is organising a competition entitled “The Finest Artberries” (hereinafter the “competition”) on the website the-finest-artberries.hoogstraten.eu (hereinafter the “website”). The competition will be held from 01/04/2026 at 7.00 am until 31/12/2026 at 23:59 (hereinafter the “promotional period”).
During this period, a promotion will be launched in accordance with the current competition rules (hereinafter the “regulations”).
The competition will be held in Belgium.
Article 2 – Conditions of participation
In order to be eligible to enter the competition (and hereinafter to be referred to as a “participant”), the candidate must meet the conditions set out in this article.
Participation in the competition is permitted for any natural person participating individually and in their own name, who is over 18 years old on the starting date of the competition and an official resident of one of the countries of Europe, excluding legal entities and the following persons:
- Staff of the organising company and its affiliated producers, staff of the commercial promoters and their advisers who have been directly or indirectly involved in the organisation and promotion of the competition, as well as their family members (direct blood relatives in the ascending and descending lines, as well as spouses and partners).
Participation in the competition is restricted to individuals who confirm their participation manually and in person and who demonstrate a fair attitude towards the game and its rules.
Participation is reserved for named individuals and is strictly personal. Winners who are not officially resident in Europe are not eligible to enter. They must have access to their own internet connection and an email address. Consequently, participants may under no circumstances play using multiple accounts, under different IDs or pseudonyms, or on behalf of other participants. Nor may the participant play under a false identity or using false personal details, nor may they use the identity or personal details of a third party, regardless of the means they use to do so. Winners, and persons living at the same address, will be excluded from further participation in the competition as soon as they win.
Persons who do not meet the above requirements:
- The organising company will automatically disqualify from the game any participants who have used scripts, software, bots or other techniques that enable automatic participation without physical intervention.
- The organising company reserves the right to take legal action against anyone who has committed fraud or attempted to commit fraud during this competition.
- The organising company reserves the right to temporarily or permanently block the right of any person to participate in the competition, in whole or in part, if they disrupt the proceedings of the competition and jeopardise its administration, safety, fairness, integrity or proper process, to withhold any prize packages won by that person, and it reserves the right, where applicable, to take legal action against them.
The organising company will do everything in its power to ensure that all participants are given equal opportunities. To this end, participants consent to any verification of their identity and contact details. Any incorrect or false information will automatically result in disqualification from participation.
Article 3 – Support for the campaign
The competition will mainly be advertised on the packaging of the 500g punnet of Hoogstraten Strawberries. However, it may also be announced via:
- A digital campaign & influencer campaign on the social media channels of all partners involved.
- Out-of-home media campaigns by all the partners involved.
- Retail media such as shelf displays using wobblers, banners, etc.
Article 4 – Competition proceedings

Registrations made using an invalid or temporary email address, or containing incorrect details, will not be processed.
The winners of the competition will be contacted at the email address they have provided.
It is not possible to participate in this competition in any way other than as described in these regulations. Entries sent by post will not be accepted. We will not be answering any telephone enquiries regarding the terms and conditions of the competition or the interpretation of these regulations. All costs associated with participation in this competition (telephone, computer and internet costs, etc.) are to be borne entirely by the participants. Under no circumstances may they demand that the organising company cover these costs. The organising company reserves the right to request clarification or to cancel any entries that appear to violate the rules set out in these regulations. Participants authorise the organising company to carry out all necessary checks regarding their identity and address.
Only the winners of the competition will be notified of their prize package by email. If the email address provided by the participant is incorrect and/or if, for technical reasons, the email sent by the organising company cannot be received, and/or if the winner does not respond within the specified time limit (within 20 working days of the email being sent by the organising company), they forfeit their right to the prize package and cannot claim any compensation, in any form whatsoever.
The organising company reserves the right to ask any winner to provide proof of identity. Subject to verification of the validity of their participation and confirmation of their details, each winner must have claimed their prize package within six months of the last day of the promotional period. The prize package is awarded to the winner in their personal capacity; it cannot be transferred to another person and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Article 5 – Prizes
A total of 9 identical prize packages will be given away during the competition. Only one prize package will be awarded per physical person (same first name, same surname, same email address). The value of the prize package is as follows:
One (1) person will win the prize package for two people, including:

These costs may include the following: mileage allowance, aeroplane, train and/or bus tickets, in economy or second class and only from the winner’s official address to Antwerp city centre.
The prize package offered to the winner shall not give rise to any dispute of any kind whatsoever, nor to the granting of any financial compensation (whether in full or in part), nor to the exchange or replacement of the prize with another prize of any value whatsoever, for any reason whatsoever.
Should circumstances so require (force majeure, events beyond the organising company’s control), the organising company reserves the right to replace the prize won with another prize of equal value, without this giving rise to any liability.
The prize package is awarded on a personal basis, only once during the duration of the competition, and cannot be transferred to third parties.
Article 6 – Awarding of the prize package
The winners confirm that any personal details that may be requested are accurate, true and correct. In addition, you may be asked to provide a photo of the nine different punnets for verification purposes. The final awarding of the prize package will be announced following this verification, regardless of any prior notifications sent by email.
If the contact details contain incorrect and/or incomplete and/or false information and/or prevent the organising company from contacting the relevant winners and/or if a photograph of the nine different punnets cannot be provided within 24 hours, the awarding of the prize package will be cancelled.
Winners will be notified by email using the email address they provided when entering the competition.
If, for any reason, it is not possible to award the prize package, the organising company may reallocate the prize package to another participant in the competition. This participant is selected on the basis of the criteria set out in Article 4.
Article 7 – Personal data
The organising company processes the participant’s personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU 2016/679) and its privacy policy.

The participant agrees that their personal data may be used for marketing and commercial purposes.
The organising company will not disclose the participant’s personal data to third parties, except where necessary for the purposes of the competition or with the participant’s prior express consent.
The organising company will take all the necessary precautions to keep the data confidential. However, the participant acknowledges that sending this data over the internet is never without risk.
The participant has the right to access, amend or delete their data as stated in the privacy statement.
The participant also has the right to object to the processing of their personal data. The participant’s entry in the competition will be cancelled if the participant requests that their data be deleted or if the participant objects to the processing of their data. To exercise their rights, participants should consult the privacy policy.
The participant consents to all checks relating to their identity and personal details. Any indication of a false or incorrect identity or a false or incorrect address will automatically result in disqualification from the competition.
Should a participant have any complaints regarding the processing of personal data, they are requested to contact the organising company. If a satisfactory solution cannot be found, the participant may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
Article 8 – Liability
The organising company does not accept any liability in the event of a disruption to the internet connection and/or receiving devices that jeopardises the smooth running of the competition.
The organising company does not accept any liability for any incidents and/or accidents that may occur whilst enjoying the prize package awarded and/or as a result of its use and, in general, for any dissatisfaction with the delivery of the prize package (e.g. partners).
Article 9 – Force Majeure
The organising company shall not be held liable in any way if, for any reason beyond its control, the prize package cannot be delivered as planned (e.g. due to delay or loss during transport, total or partial destruction, or any other reason). Therefore the booking cannot be changed either.
Article 10 – Changes to the competition
The organising company reserves the right to shorten, extend, amend (in particular the announced dates) or cancel this competition for any reason whatsoever, without being held liable for this and without the participant being entitled to claim compensation for any reason whatsoever.
The organising company reserves the right to temporarily suspend participation in the competition if it (or its potential hosting provider) can no longer guarantee the continuity of service required for the competition to take place.
Furthermore, the organising company reserves the right to terminate or suspend the competition in the event of fraud or, in any case, if, for any reason whatsoever, the computer system awards prizes not provided for in these regulations. In such cases, the notification informing the participant of a win shall be deemed null and void.
Article 11 – Communication
All correspondence regarding the competition will be conducted exclusively by email to the following address: marketing@hoogstraten.eu. The organising company accepts no liability for IT errors or server problems.
Article 12 – Acceptance and application of the regulations
Participation in the competition implies unconditional acceptance of the regulations. No dispute of these regulations will be considered.
Any complaints regarding the competition must be submitted in writing to the registered office of the organising company within seven (7) working days of the end of the competition. Complaints can never be dealt with verbally or over the phone. Complaints that are not submitted in good time, have not been made in writing, or where the author cannot be identified by name will not be dealt with.
These regulations can be viewed at any time on the website the-finest-artberries.hoogstraten.eu.
The competition is supervised by the organising company. In the event of force majeure, unforeseen circumstances or a dispute, the organising company may take any necessary decisions to ensure the smooth running of the competition. Its decisions are final and no appeals are possible.
The organising company reserves the right to exclude a participant – and, if applicable, a winner – in the event of a breach of one or more of the terms and conditions of participation, or in the event of abuse, fraud or dishonest participation in the competition.
The organising company may exclude participants if it is confirmed or suspected that they have attempted to undermine the legitimate proceedings of the competition by means of cheating, piracy or other fraudulent, misleading or unfair practices (including the generation of entries or votes by means of scripts, macros, bots, programs or other automated means). In such cases, the organising company may also exclude the participants concerned from taking part in future promotions.
No correspondence or telephone enquiries will be permitted regarding this competition, either before, during or after the competition.
Decisions are final and irrevocable.
Article 13 – Applicable law and disputes
The participants undertake that, in the event of any complaints regarding the application or interpretation of the competition, they will first attempt to reach an amicable resolution with the organising company before taking any further action.
If any provision of the regulations is deemed to be null and void, the remaining provisions of the regulations shall remain in force. The organising company is entitled to adopt one or more substitute provisions which, as far as possible, approximates the nature and purpose of the null or annullable provision without themselves being null or annullable.
The regulations and proceedings of the competition itself are subject to Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, the Dutch-speaking courts of Brussels shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
